Data Sources

Our licensing data comes from the Institute for Justice's License to Work 3 report, which documents occupational licensing requirements across all 50 states. Wage data comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics.

We verify and update our information regularly. Each page shows when the data was last verified.

Who We Are

Home Business Hub was created by a team of researchers and developers who saw a gap in accessible business information. We noticed that entrepreneurs were spending hours — sometimes days — trying to figure out basic licensing requirements that should be easy to find.

We built this site to solve that problem once and for all. Every page is generated from verified data, so you get consistent, accurate information no matter which occupation or state you're researching.
